Inside Relationship
Kent Welsh

We are conditioned to search outside to meet the needs of our internal gravitational pull towards intimacy. Yet the foundation of our capacity for being truly met is entirely an inside job. Our most sacred, deep, and intimate relationship is within. In this shared exploration, we will look at how we cultivate and embody our relationship with our deep Being, Truth, and Love.

Kent Welsh MA, is a co-founder of Open Circle Center, a non-sectarian community dedicated to supporting the practices of mindful and open-hearted awareness. For 14 years Open Circle has hosted events with local, national, and internationally recognized non-dual teachers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kent is also a founding and current Board member of Center for Nondual Awareness.

Adam ChacksfieldEntering The Greater Consciousness That We Are Together
Adam Chacksfield Ph.D.

When we mutually give ourselves to we-consciousness, we participate in a radically more inclusive and creative consciousness. This consciousness is unique to the participants, highly dynamic, and greater than the sum of it’s parts. And yet surprisingly, we-consciousness is still largely unexplored, despite being readily accessible to many, and powerfully transformative. We can activate and explore its enormous potential by the simple act of turning towards this neglected space of “we”. In this session we’ll use simple exercises to enter the direct experience of this consciousness, and allow ourselves to become vehicles for its revelation and expression.

Adam is a heart-centered nondual spiritual teacher and the founder of Center for Nondual Awareness. He’s committed to supporting the world-transforming infusion of awareness throughout our lives and relationships. After some profound openings he left his job as a Professor, at age 33, to devote himself to spiritual exploration. In 2010, with Peter Fenner’s encouragement and support, Adam started to work with groups and individuals. His teaching was then profoundly influenced by Jeannie Zandi’s love-saturated transmission. Adam’s deepening into the new paradigm of “WE-relating” is now being inspired and supported by his immersion in Patricia Albere’s Evolutionary Collective.

The Universe (we are not separate from) Speaks From Our Heart
Jeffrey Fidel

The presentation begins with my personal story of year long mental suffering and how the teachings of the Tao Te Ching pointed “the way” for my quiet empty mind to learn directly from the inner voice from my heart that teaches we are not separate from this present moment existence (non dual awareness). A guided silent meditation follows in which we shift awareness from the thinking mind into the essence of our being not separate from the essence of our universe. Finally, with a silent mind, we shift awareness to our heart and listen to our inner guru that teaches we and the universe are ONE.  A Question and Answer session will conclude the presentation.

Jeffrey FIdel, MD refused to live out the remainder of his life medicated for bipolar disorder.  In near complete solitude, he endured a year of mental suffering until freeing himself from thought identification (egoic consciousness) utilizing mainly the teachings of Lao Tzu’s Tao Te Ching.  Jeff’s unique teachings combine his personal experience of mental suffering with his knowledge of modern science, medicine and ancient wisdom. Jeff is a Medical Doctor with over 20 years experience in hospital and private settings. Dr. Fidel’s teachings are not aligned with any particular religion or tradition.

Attachment, Non-Attachment: That’s What We Call Relationship!
Ameya Specterman

Spirituality teaches that Non-Attachment is the key to liberation and freedom from suffering. Yet, psychological research has revealed that Secure Attachment is the cornerstone of psychological well-being and satisfying relationships. This session will review Attachment Theory as well as the teachings of Non-Attachment to explore how their apparent contradiction can actually offer a synergistic alchemy within relationship that promotes awakening, stabilization and fuller embodiment of what has been realized. Opportunity to assess our own attachment styles, meditative inquiry and rich discussion of these provocative themes will be invited and encouraged.

Ameya is a California and New York Licensed Psychologist who practices in Berkeley and Palo Alto.  She draws from Non-Dual Wisdom, Mindfulness, and Somatic methods to guide and inform her practice. She is also a Program Manager at Open Gate Sangha which supports the teachings of Adyashanti and Mukti.

WE Relating: A New Way to be Here Together
Kate Foley

Now more than ever we need a radically new paradigm for relating. WE relating offers the real possibility of being here together in a completely different way. It is an opportunity to meet in the whole truth together rather than from separate positions. It is a movement in and as awareness, a turning towards what arises in the space between with childlike curiosity. What if we entered into this place of openness whenever there was a source of contention, or a decision to be made? What would it be like to be here together, not in separation and divisiveness but in an abiding state of mutual exploration and discovery?

Kate is passionate about WE relating and supporting the embodiment of nondual awareness. She draws from over a decade of experience with working closely with heart and somatic oriented nondual teachers such as Adyashanti, Jeannie Zandi, Pamela Wilson, and Isaac Shapiro. Kate has trained with Jeannie Zandi in spaceholding for individuals and groups. She has facilitated online retreat sharing groups for Isaac Shapiro, Pamela Wilson, and John Prendergast. Kate is currently offering a We relating online course. She also facilitates online sharing groups and in-person exploration groups. Kate has a background in social work and Reiki and offers heart centered awareness counseling.

Living in the Flow of Divine Abundance
Sonya Amrita Bibilos

Divine Abundance is a presence in the Universe, an aspect of Consciousness much like Divine Love. In the awakening and embodiment journey, we have an extraordinary opportunity to liberate ego illusions and stories about abundance and live in a new, aligned, loving flow of Divine Abundance. In this workshop presentation, you will have an experience of clearing conscious and subconscious blocks to abundance, and finding true alignment with your dharma work and abundance. We will ultimately create a community that supports each of us to be in aligned flow of abundance in our work and lives.

Sonya experienced a series of life-changing awakenings while she was working at a Silicon Valley software company, and later while working for her spiritual teacher, Adyashanti, as his Program Director. She has been offering spiritual energetic healing and intuitive guidance to individuals and couples for over twelve years, supporting them to awaken and live their awakening in every area of their lives.

Conscious Relating through the Both/And of Human Being
Barbara Veale Smith

When someone speaks or acts in a way that we experience as untrue or hurtful, we may be tempted to defend ourselves or offend in return. The pain of separation, however, tells us we are out of alignment with the Truth of Love. In this interactive workshop, you’ll be led through a simple but potent exercise to identify the architecture of your reactivity  – and practice reconnecting through Being. You’ll discover anew the unity that underlies the painful sense of separation.  Embrace the wholeness of Human Being, embodying love through conscious relating.

Barbara Veale Smith is devoted to the Peace that is already and always here, and committed to fostering peace where it has not yet blossomed in the world.  She leads a nonprofit effort called Undefended Heart (, empowering people to prevent conflict.
